Vengeful Daughter 2025

A 3D Mni-Collection built entirely in Browzwear VStitcher.

This collection is born out of the violent gaze and scrutiny that women and their bodies are subjected to in South Asian societies. It draws inspiration from Maa Kaali—a fierce goddess and protector of those society chooses to ignore. Each look in the collection aims to capture the spirit of the goddess – it is meant to provoke and shock people with conservative beliefs about women’s bodies by combining an element of violence with feminine beauty.

The juxtaposition creates discomfort and makes people look away – Kaali presents herself as fearless and ruthless towards ignorance and that is exactly what I attempted to capture through the design, prints, and materials in this collection. These clothes represent the individual transformation necessary to deliberately show off parts of yourself that are unwelcome in South Asian society as well as attempting to change people’s thoughts and opinions about the way we view women’s bodies and lives.
